Ticked Off was in need of a way to demonstrate their app and communicate their benefits to potential clients. Utilising the skills of the Persuaders’ team, Ticked Off was able to gain an engaging animated explainer Video. The video embraces all their needs by supplying an overview of Ticked Off within one minute. In addition, the video also built and defines their brand aesthetic through establishing their brand look and feel. The video is still an essential asset of Ticked Off as it gives a thorough introduction of their company to prospective customers.

The Brief

Ticked Off is an innovative software platform that lets you take control of your repairs and maintenance through an app. They were looking for a way to jump-start their company by growing client interest. They aimed to do this by visualising the simplicity and efficiency of using the app. Ticked Off realised their needs can be met through a captivating, explainer video. The explainer video will also be able to convey Ticked Off as a progressive, flexible company.

Ticked Off contacted Persuaders to produce an explainer video that would attract and engage viewers. Their hope is to excite and interest businesses into implementing the app. Ultimately, they wanted to be able to communicate their business that audience’s can absorb within one simple medium.

The Solution

As a recently launched brand, Ticked Off hadn’t established an extensive brand guideline. They provided Persuaders with only a script to work from. They trusted our expertise in design to create an animation that displayed their company as innovative and unique. We dived into creating the look and feel of the video.We established a design aesthetic that complimented the Ticked Off app’s colours and design. Then we designed characters and entities for the explainer video that followed this aesthetic. All designs were approved by Ticked Off before the creation of the storyboard.

An important aspect was learning how the app worked for both the user and the company. The video will provide a step by step progression into what happens in the front and back end of the app. Providing a familiar look and feel of the app on the video was essential for the video to be successful. This will build user trust for the system. The video will also have a focus on exhibiting the user benefits of the app.

To help convey the simplicity and flexibility of the app, we made sure that each frame had a clean, minimalistic style to avoid confusion. The pacing of the video was set to a steady rate that is easy to follow and comprehend. The voiceover and music remained consistent with the theme and further engages the audience.

The Outcome

We encompassed who Ticked Off is, how they operate and the benefits into a one minute explainer video.  Ticked Off was ecstatic with the results. They proudly display the video on their website homepage. The creation of the video has also helped them establish a look and feel for their company. The design concept for the illustrations are used throughout the website to engage and attract viewers.
