Magnis Energy Technologies is a Sydney-based battery manufacturing and technology company which aims to become a leading global producer of next-gen green credentialed Lithium-ion battery cells. Magnis has strategic investments in large-scale lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing projects in the US and Queensland, as well as partnering with leading battery technology and IP player, C4V, in New York. Magnis also has a project in a high quality graphite flake mine in Tanzania which doesn’t require toxic chemicals to be purified.

The Brief

Magnis Energy Technologies are at the forefront of green lithium-ion battery technology, but it isn’t always clear to investors how they straddle the three areas so easily: battery technology, battery production and graphite flake mining practices. Magnis sought to make it clear to investors what they do and how they can do it through a redesign of their existing investor presentation.

The Solution

Magnis came to Persuaders for expert design on their investor presentation so it was important that we understand their design goals ahead of time. The content is quite heavy so we sought to find a way to visually represent the more complex battery technology and manufacturing processes.

Magnis has a strong environmental sustainability emphasis in their processes which is shown in their original deck and through the use of a deep green colour, so we chose to brighten up the greens palette throughout the presentation. We highlighted key points in the presentation with new icons and diagrams and ensured there were pops of brighter greens as highlights.

We were tasked with the job of designing a new diagram to show the battery manufacture system in the C4V plant in New York.

The Outcome

We redesigned Magnis’ presentation deck which included an updated colour palette, new icons, design layouts and diagrams so that they can present to potential investors with confidence, knowing that their audience understands the lithium-ion battery technology and manufacturing process.

Magnis can now continue updating their assets in the new design style where required. The presentation diagrams can be re-used in newsletters to shareholders, on the website and emails to potential investors.
