What your zodiac sign says about your presenting style

Whether you fully believe in them or not, the traits of astrological signs often align in uncanny ways with our strengths and weaknesses in certain situations. We love a good horoscope over here at Persuaders, so we thought we’d take a look at how our zodiac signs reflect on our various presentation styles. 

Considering how your zodiac sign influences how you present can help you focus your attention on cultivating your strengths. It can also equip you with some objective insights to keep your less favourable tendencies in check. 

Getting more familiar with one’s presenting strengths, weaknesses and tendencies is a great way to make sure that next big presentation (whether in person or virtually) is a hit. 

ARIES (March 21 – April 20) 

Aries are natural born leaders – a characteristic that shines most when they are up on stage. 

As one of the most outwardly ambitious signs, they are likely to be the first to volunteer to get up and speak and be gung-ho on the topic they are presenting.  

Pioneering and powerful they will take full charge when up on stage, command the attention of the audience and speak with such conviction people will naturally follow.  

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: That was fun! Let’s do it again – tomorrow – with a bigger audience. 

TAURUS (April 21 – Mary 21)

Taureans are pretty resistant to change, so unless presenting is something they do often, it may take a little while to convince them they can do the job (but they totally can).

Once on stage, their slow speaking and slow moving nature will come across as confident and self-assured – instilling trust and cooperation with the audience. 

Taureans also love being surrounded by beautiful things (and usually food), so they will want to take the time to ensure their appearance, the stage and their slides are beautifully crafted and well-considered.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21)

As masters of communication, Geminis are naturals when it comes to the art of persuasion, and they’re absolutely delightful when they are up on stage. 

Witty, charming and generally talkative, Geminis are salespeople, even when they’re not salespeople. Their presentation will likely include music, lots of jokes and storytelling.

On the flip side though – they can get nervous at the first sight of trouble and jump to conclusions, so it’s important to keep calm and avoid stressful distraction before a big presentation.

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: When can I get feedback?

CANCER (June 22 – July 22)

Cancers are team players with a high level of intelligence and a natural desire to take care of others. This warmth, care and presence comes across on stage making audiences feel safe and looked after.

However, they can be known to be overly sensitive and can become cold and distant in a heartbeat if people offend or criticise them. It’s important for Cancers out there to keep this in mind when receiving feedback on their presentation delivery or content. 

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: That’s going to depend on their perception of how well it went, but with a tough crowd it’s safe to expect some tears.

LEO (July 23 – August 21)

The performers of the zodiac, Leos are notorious show-offs, highly creative and endowed with a deep sense of pride.

Known for their massive yet fragile egos, their belief in their own exceptionalism isn’t far from the truth when they’re on stage. 

Thriving on the energy of others and their natural enthusiasm makes them fabulous presenters. Born for the stage, they ooze with confidence – from the way they stand to the way they speak – making them highly engaging and compelling. 

They just need to check their presentation isn’t all about them!

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: Wasn’t I great?

VIRGO (August 22- September 23)

Virgos attention to detail and meticulousness means they will thrive to give a perfect, well thought out speech.

Just don’t expect them to keep their cool. Virgos are known stress heads, and their detail orientated nature is often misdirected towards totally unimportant stuff, making them more susceptible to anxiousness and nerves. 

They are also quick to judge their presentation – and will not hesitate in pointing out the flaws or mistakes in others. Their intent is not necessarily malicious – they just can’t stand lower standards. 

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: Did you think it was alright? I feel like they didn’t like me. 

LIBRA (September 24 – October 23) 

Libras are naturally light and vibrant – an energy that is infectious when they are on stage. 

They’re warm, gracious and friendly vibe is well received by any audience. They’re also clever as hell and great at negotiating, making them highly persuasive and compelling. 

They can however also be incredibly indecisive and unable to make a stand when it’s crunch time, so it’s important they don’t leave any decisions regarding content and slides to the last minute. 

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: If you think it went well, I think it went well. 

SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)

Scorpio’s intensity is legendary. Everything they do is full throttle, passionate and in your face. 

Their unshakeable, almost disconcerting self confidence on stage gives them the ability to convince people to agree with just about everything they say. 

Scorpios have sharp insight into the minds and motivations of their audience. They empathise well, they’re diligent and highly focused on the task at hand, making them masters of persuasion. 

Their outer shell and confidence however, typically hides anger and frustration kept under the surface, so they should vent or do some physical activity to let go of any irritation they feel before getting up on stage.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 22)

Sagittarians are fun, funny and have a seemingly limitless amount of energy. 

Sagittarius presenters will make you laugh and, in doing so, will have audiences wrapped around their little finger.  

They also have strong convictions and love a good debate. Watch out though – Sagittarians can be a bit childish with their need to always be right. They tend to be a little too proud and seem like know-it-alls. 

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: Let’s get a drink and celebrate. 

CAPRICORN (December 23 – January 20) 

Capricorns are determined, helpful, patient and competent. They crave the prestige and status that comes from being at the front of an audience. 

Their cool, calm, collected nature allows the audience to feel at ease and trust their message. 

However, when it comes to sudden changes or situations that require high-level interpersonal skills, such as question time at the end of their presentation – Capricorns might not be so great. They’re not the quickest to adapt to unexpected situations or questions, so they’ll want to have a plan in place for anything tricky that may arise.

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: Does anyone need help?

AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19) 

Aquarians are curious, unique and highly intellectual people who appreciate innovative thinking. When presenting, they’ll usually want to do things a bit differently. 

Aquarians need to leave their stamp on the world. Guaranteed to be original, their presentation goals don’t lie in selfish gains, but rather that their effort contributes to a greater cause. 

It’s important to note that their out-of-the-box thinking and free spirit may lose some audiences, so it’s important for Aquarians to remain grounded in their delivery and stage craft. 

First thing they will say once they walk off stage: I have a great idea!

PISCES (February 20 – March 20)

Sometimes mislabeled as ‘dreamy’ or ‘spacey’, Pisceans are vastly empathetic and possess eerily accurate instincts. They are the ultimate empaths when it comes to picking up on the feelings and motivations of their audience. They inherently know what each audience needs and how to make them feel good.  

This special skill makes them a powerhouse when presenting and compelling people to action. Unfortunately though, they typically shy away from the stage. Pisces are a fountain of creativity and inspiration that needs to be heard, but they need to be comfortable to take the change.
